Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote working with 1 day in every 2 weeks at Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

Salary: Competitive + company benefits (Full-time/permanent role)

Our site reliability engineers (SREs) empower users with high availability, stellar performance, and rich features.

About the role:

This hands-on role involves working with the Software Engineering team to manage the SRE function daily, collaborating with the Head of Engineering and cross-functional teams to develop solutions and enhance user experiences.

The successful candidate will lead and shape our strategy on software and service maturity, security, performance, and scalability across cloud infrastructure, with significant autonomy to influence the team’s future direction. Key skills include:

  • Site Reliability Engineering/DevOps/Infrastructure/Platform management
  • API development and deployment using containerized environments like Kubernetes
  • Implementing/enhancing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform
  • Working with business stakeholders in an agile environment
  • Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
  • Experience with AWS services such as IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
  • CloudFormation/CDK
  • Experience with serverless computing
