Skills

Site Reliability Engineering/DevOps/Infrastructure/Platform management
API development and deployment in containerized environments such as Kubernetes
Implementing and enhancing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform
Collaborating with stakeholders in an agile environment
Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
Experience with AWS services, especially IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
Knowledge of CloudFormation/CDK

Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote working, with 1 day every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

Role Overview:

This hands-on role involves working within the Software Engineering team to manage the SRE function daily, collaborating with cross-functional teams and the Head of Engineering to develop solutions and enhance user experiences.

You will lead and shape our strategy for the maturity, security, performance, and scalability of our software and services across cloud infrastructure, with significant autonomy to influence team direction based on your expertise.

Key skills and experience include:

  1. Site Reliability Engineering/DevOps/Infrastructure/Platform management
  2. API development and deployment in containerized environments such as Kubernetes
  3. Implementing and enhancing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform
