Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote working with 1 day in every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

Our site reliability engineers (SREs) ensure high availability, stellar performance, and rich features for our users.

About the role

This hands-on role involves working closely with the Software Engineering team and the Head of Engineering to manage our SRE functions. You will review, lead, and develop strategies for the security, performance, and scalability of our cloud-based software and services, with a high degree of autonomy.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Platform management
  2. Development and deployment of APIs using containerized environments like Kubernetes
  3. Implementing and enhancing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform
  4. Collaborating with stakeholders in an agile environment
  5. Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
  6. Managing AWS services such as IAM, S3, EKS, and Networking
  7. Using CloudFormation and CDK
  8. Working with serverless computing environments
