Overview

We’re supporting a fast-growing business in building out its security capabilities. This is a senior, hands-on role where you’ll lead a team, shape strategy, and safeguard a platform that’s expanding at pace.

Role Overview

• Location: Milton Keynes – on-site once per month

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing and deploying endpoint monitoring solutions to keep devices secure.
• Overseeing cloud security posture — ensuring systems are configured, compliant, and continuously monitored.
• Driving improvements in network security across the organisation.
• Leading real-time threat detection, incident response, and cross-team collaboration.
• Developing and implementing identity and access management frameworks.
• Creating strategies to prevent impersonation, account takeovers, and other malicious activities.
• Owning continuous threat exposure management to stay ahead of emerging risks.
• Leading, mentoring, and growing a high-performing team of security engineers.
• Driving security awareness and contributing to incident response planning.

Main Skills Needed

• Strong background in endpoint monitoring, network security, and intrusion detection.
• Experience managing threat exposure programmes and incident response.
• Deep understanding of IAM systems (MFA, SSO, RBAC).
• Cloud security knowledge across Azure and Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with frameworks like CIS, NIST, and ISO27001.
• Knowledge of key network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, VPN).
• Proven leadership — mentoring engineers and collaborating cross-functionally.
• Proficiency in automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Strong communication skills, with confidence presenting to technical and non-technical audiences.
