Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in operating theatre setting with specific orthopaedic and spinal scrub skills.
  • Qualified Surgical First Assist.
  • ILS Qualification.

Fortius Clinic are expanding their Scrub team!

We are currently hiring a new Lead Scrub Practitioner to join us on a full-time permanent basis in London.

This is to work on average 37.5 hours per week (162.5 hours per month).

Surgical Centre based in Marylebone London.

Up to 57000 - negotiable depending on experience.

Work flexibly Monday - Saturday across our theatre sites.

Start as early as 07:00 or finish as late at 22:00.

Purpose of Job

The purpose of this role is to manage and coordinate the safe and efficient delivery of perioperative care within a defined clinical specialty in a private orthopaedic surgical centre. The role involves leading both clinical practice and operational planning ensuring that surgical lists are appropriately staffed, resourced and executed to the highest standards.

Acting as a key point of leadership the post-holder supports service improvement promotes patient safety and contributes to the professional development of the theatre team while ensuring compliance with hospital policies clinical governance and patient experience standards.

Job Requirements

  • Experience of tight budgetary management including Profit and Loss accountability.
  • Educated to degree level with considerable further professional development.
  • ILS Qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in operating theatre setting with specific orthopaedic and spinal scrub skills.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrable experience of driving growth.
  • Proven ability to lead a multi-functional team.
  • Mentorship / Practice Assessor.
  • Evidence of clinical reasoning skills across a varied patient case mix.

Ideal
  • ALS Qualification.
