Location: Based at home – mileage paid to 4 locations as required: Bilston, West Bromwich, Perry Barr and Solihull.

We are looking for an LGV C+E (HGV Class 1) Relief Cover Driver to cover holiday and sickness across 4 sites: Bilston, West Bromwich, Perry Barr and Solihull. Work is a mixture of Class 1 and Class 2 work and will include multi-drop and some nights out. There is the opportunity to upskill to become a Driver Trainer.

Responsibilities
  • Cover holiday and sickness across four sites: Bilston, West Bromwich, Perry Barr and Solihull.
  • Work on a variety of contracts: Crown Lift Trucks (Perry Barr) Class 1 delivering/collecting Fork Lift Trucks; Le Grand (West Bromwich) Class 1/2 delivering aluminium cable trunking; Porcelanosa (Solihull) Class 2 delivering ceramic tiles; Hub Le Bas (Bilston) Class 2 delivering steel stock (some nights out).
  • Drive in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
  • Comply with health and safety standards at all times, adhering to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations.
  • Regularly complete vehicle checks and handle customer products safely.
  • Possibility to progress to a Driver Trainer role for DHL Supply Chain.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Minimum 12 months recent driving experience.
  • Flexibility to work nights out as required.
  • Ability to cover locations at Perry Barr, West Bromwich, Bilston and Solihull (mileage paid to depots).
  • Ideally some Fork Lift experience for delivery and collection purposes.
