Due to internal promotions, an exciting full-time opportunity has arisen to join Oxford United FC working with our senior Women’s team and our Boys U15 / 16 programmes in a combined role.
This is an entry-level full-time role that would be ideal for someone looking to make the transition into full-time sport, in a pro-learning, supportive environment, gaining both exposure to senior Women’s and elite Boys U15 / 16 football.
Reporting directly to the Head of Academy Sport Science & Medicine, prospective candidates will be joining Oxford United at an exciting time in the club’s history : with a newly renovated Training Ground, measurable progress being made toward Category Two Academy status, new stadium development well underway, and a second consecutive campaign in the EFL Championship.
Key Responsibilities
OUFC Women’s programme
- Oversee and deliver physiotherapy programme for OUFC Women’s players.
- Lead medical contact for OUFC Women’s players.
- Medical lead for training / injury clinics with support of full-time intern.
- Measure and analyse readiness to compete markers, and liaise with Women’s staff as appropriate.
- Manage and complete all medical record keeping for OUFC Women’s players.
- Integrate into the OUFC Women’s and wider club MDT.
- Support & develop part-time physio’s, students and volunteers.
- Engage in CPD as per HCPC guidelines.
Boys Academy
- Oversee and deliver physiotherapy programme for U15-16 squads.
- Lead medical contact for U15-16 squads and parents / guardians.
- Medical lead for evening training / injury clinics with support of part-time staff.
- Scheduling and communication of part-time medical cover for U15-16 training and fixtures.
- Manage and complete all medical record keeping for U15-U16 squads.
Hours of Work
40 hours per week.
Flexible options available throughout Mon-Fri & optional Sunday : OUFC Women’s Match-day (home & away)
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- BSc (hons) Physiotherapy
- Full membership of the CSP and registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- FA ITMMiF as a minimum (or willingness to work towards ASAP).
- Outstanding communication and organisation skills.
- Physical competency level to demonstrate a lead gym and field based rehabilitation sessions.
- Experience in pitch-based rehabilitation, return to play protocols, women’s sport & safeguarding compliance.
- Confident, self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
- Ability to work collaboratively with players, parents and staff.
- Outstanding clinical knowledge in sports physiotherapy.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel / Powerpoint / word
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- A clear understanding of the Premier League’s Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP).
- FA Safeguarding qualification.
- Minimum 1-year full-time experience providing physio support in an elite sporting environment.
- Awareness of Kitman Labs management software for Academy Audit process.
- A full drivers’ licence and access to your own vehicle.
- Lives within 60min radius of training ground.

Remuneration Package
- £27,500 salary.
