Job description

Delta Academies Trust is looking to appoint a Lead Mentor to join the Exchange Teacher Training (ETT) team on a casual basis. Ideally, we are looking to appoint in the Northeast region (Newcastle/Sunderland area) and/or Yorkshire Coast and Ryedale region (Scarborough and surrounding areas).

The base will be either Scarborough UTC or Ingelby Manor Free School depending on the region that the Lead Mentor's role is undertaken in.

Exchange Teacher Training (ETT) is an accredited provider of Initial Teacher Training (ITT) in the North of England. It is founded upon a well-established partnership of credible organisations in Yorkshire and the Humber, and the Northeast, united by a common goal to improve the quality of education for children and young people. We aim to provide the highest quality, impactful and localised ITT that truly makes a difference.

Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Deputy Head of Exchange Teacher Training (Mentoring), you will take oversight of the quality of mentoring and progress of a caseload of trainees.
  • You will guard the quality of our provision by ensuring the effective delivery of our curriculum in school and alignment across the partnership.
  • You will also support the design and delivery of the ETT mentor training curriculum, as well as leading the coordination, trainee assessment and impact of the ITaPs.
  • Where appropriate to your areas of expertise, you will contribute to the design and delivery of the curriculum including Intensive Training and Practice (ITaP) to ensure training experiences are of the highest quality.
  • This is a casual position, and you will be based at Education House in Knottingley, with a requirement to travel frequently to placement schools within a designated region. You will also have a link to the regional team.
