Lead Maintenance Engineer – FMCG

Salary: £57,000

Shift: Days and Nights

Location: Stockport

A role is now available to join a market leading manufacturing plant in Stockport. As a Lead Maintenance Engineer you will be working in a fully automated plant, with plans to invest to further upgrade the plant. The successful Engineer will be offered a tailored training programme and have ample opportunity to progress both at this site and across the whole group. When applying please make sure you are multi‑skilled, ideally Electrical and have a background in industrial engineering. The applicant must be an apprentice trained through time‑served apprenticeship.

Key responsibilities and skills
  • Work on state‑of‑the‑art automated equipment, including robots, PLCs (Allen Bradley and Siemens), control panels, servo drives and PLCs.
  • Apply electrical and mechanical skills, with a bias on electrical skills; fault finding and troubleshooting of three‑phase motors, control panels and servo drives.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance to keep equipment operating at its highest level.
  • Morning and night shift coverage.
  • Must possess a relevant electrical qualification and experience working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
