A leading sixth form college in Manchester is seeking a Lead Laboratory Technician to manage laboratory operations. The role involves leading a team, supporting A level and BTEC science courses, and ensuring safety and efficiency for all practical work conducted. Salary: SFCA Support Staff Salary Scale point 15 - 17 (£32,199 to £34,253 per annum pro rata) - actual salary: £29,142 - £31,001 per annum.
Start date: ASAP

This ‘outstanding’ Sixth Form College is looking to appoint a Lead Laboratory Technician to lead and work as part of a team to service the laboratories so that staff and students can carry out practical work efficiently, accurately and safely. Subject technicians will support the delivery of practical work for A level courses, BTEC Applied Science, University Foundation courses and any other science courses in their specialism but will also be expected to support the work of other specialisms as directed by the Lead Technician.
