Qualifications

  • Proven experience installing air source heat pumps or strong heating engineering background.
  • Organised, proactive, capable of building systems and processes.
  • Full UK driving licence required.

Job description

Infinity Energy Services is expanding our renewable energy offering and launching a dedicated Air Source Heat Pump department. With the demand for low‑carbon heating growing rapidly, we are looking for an experienced, forward‑thinking engineer to lead this new division, shape best practices and deliver exceptional installations. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled ASHP installer to step into a leadership and department‑development role. You'll be responsible not only carrying out high‑quality domestic installs, but also play a key part in building, managing and growing the department from the ground up. Department Setup & Leadership
  • Establish the ASHP department structure, workflows, and installation standards.
  • Create and refine installation procedures, quality checklists, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist with product selection, supplier partnerships, and inventory planning.
  • Work with company leadership to develop the department's strategy, targets, and growth roadmap.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise engineers and apprentices as the team grows.
  • Manage compliance with MCS to include the auditing processes and health & safety standards.
Installation & Technical Duties
  • Lead on the installation, commissioning, servicing and handover of air‑source heat pump systems.
  • Conduct site surveys and complete system design and specification.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical guidance.
  • Liaise directly with customers to ensure exceptional service experience.
  • Ensure all installations meet all technical, safety, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience installing air source heat pumps or a strong heating engineering background with genuine passion for renewable technologies.
  • Strong technical understanding of low‑carbon heating systems.
  • Relevant plumbing/heating qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
  • BPEC ASHP qualification in design, installation and maintenance (preferred).
  • Unvented G3 certification.
  • Experience leading teams or mentoring engineers (preferred).
  • Organised, proactive, and capable of building systems and processes.
  • Full UK driving licence.
