Lead Delivery Manager – GDS

Outside IR35 | Remote based | Start ASAP | 6 month contract

If you are a Lead Delivery Manager with a wealth of recent experience within central UK government, and strong commercial expertise, this contract could be for you!

You will be responsible for leading several high performing agile multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex digital products and services within government. You will be working in a client facing environment with senior stakeholders across the public sector. As such, the successful candidate will have client-facing / consulting experience. This is a great opportunity with the potential for a long-term, outside IR35 engagement, supporting a range of SoWs.

Key requirements

• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and financial forecasting
• Experience drafting and owning Statements of Work (Sow)
• Experience owning delivery governance and documentation, such as RAID logs, highlight reports, delivery plans, and budget trackers.
• Ability to maintain high delivery quality through robust assurance, progress tracking, and continuous risk management.
• Commercial experience of the GDS standards and agile delivery assurance.
• Proven track record of delivering complex projects and managing risks across multiple priorities and dependencies.
• Any experience in highly technical programmes of work, and those related to artificial intelligence (AI) will also be beneficial
