Overview
Lead Data Centre Commissioning Engineer required for a successful HVAC company that owns two manufacturers and operates across 65 countries. They are expanding across the UK and seeking a Lead Commissioning Engineer to join the team.
Responsibilities
- Ensure commissioning plans are executed and work closely with the Control & Commissioning Manager.
- Carry out Air Handling Unit (AHU) commissioning tasks according to the established script.
- Lead commissioning to comply with health and safety measures for each site activity.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to deliver the Commissioning Programme within the agreed timeframe and budget.
- Travel abroad to various Data Centres across Europe; additional travel to the company’s factory in Germany may be required.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Highly desirable experience in HVAC.
- Strong commissioning knowledge of AHUs, chillers and various critical cooling appliances for data centres.
- Understanding of airflow principles and the ability to take measurements (electricity, pressure, temperature, humidity).
- Working at height is required; MEWP and harness experience is preferred.
- Demonstrable experience of HVAC and MODBUS systems.
- Hold or have previously held competence cards/training on using harnesses (IPAF), podiums/steps/work platforms, MEWPs, step ladders, etc.
- Current and valid CSCS card.
- Experience and knowledge of Data Centres is highly desirable, including awareness of ASHRAE Commissioning L1-L5 stages.
- Holds a current SSSTS or SMSTS card (not essential).
Salary & Benefits
- Salary of £55-60k.
- Flexible working between 7am-7pm.
