Lead BMS Engineer

Location: Flagship Canary Wharf Site

Salary : Up to £70,000 + Benefits

We are seeking a highly skilled BMS Engineer to join a flagship corporate site in Canary Wharf. This is a unique opportunity for a proactive specialist to take ownership of the building’s BMS (Distech) and play a critical role in driving efficiency, innovation, and performance improvement.

As the Lead BMS Engineer, you will work independently on‑site, liaising directly with the energy management team and stakeholders. You’ll need to be client‑facing, able to hold your own in meetings, and confident in delivering improvements across a high‑profile environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full ownership and management of the site’s Distech BMS.
  • Proactively using the system to enhance building performance (e.g. linking CO₂ levels to plant activity).
  • Acting as the technical authority for BMS, ensuring critical spares are in place and systems operate at peak efficiency.
  • Liaising with specialist subcontractors and internal energy management teams.
  • Driving continuous improvement, challenging and influencing stakeholders.
  • Acting above the level of a standard maintenance role – combining technical expertise with a solutions‑driven mindset.
