Laundry Technician

Location: Pyle, CF33

Hours: Full time Monday to Friday 7.30 am to 3.30 pm up until Christmas whilst you undergo your training. After Christmas the role becomes part time working 7.30 am - 3.30 pm, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Pay Rate: £12.30

Contract: Temporary, duration ongoing, potential to become a permanent position after 12 weeks

Manpower is recruiting on behalf of an established healthcare equipment provider for a Laundry Technician. This role is part of a specialist team responsible for the safe decontamination and preparation of medical beds, mattresses and related equipment used across healthcare settings.

The Role

You will work within a busy laundry and decontamination environment where attention to detail and a methodical approach are essential. Daily tasks include:

  • Cleaning and decontaminating returned equipment to a high standard
  • Supporting the daily flow of items through the laundry process
  • Keeping accurate records of equipment processed
  • Working in line with Health and Safety and infection control procedures
  • Identifying any items that are damaged or need repair
  • Working as part of a team to meet demand from hospitals and care settings
About You
  • A full UK driving licence is essential
  • Previous experience in a similar practical role is desirable
  • Able to work methodically and manage your workload effectively
  • Physically able to handle larger and heavier items safely
  • Comfortable working within infection control and safety guidelines
  • A reliable team player with a positive approach
