Job description
Overview

This post is central to delivering effective patient care at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The post will be primarily based in Winchester but you may be asked to attend other sites as required. The post will be involved in all aspects of diagnosis and treatment of patients. The post holder would be on the resident 1st on call rota supporting in Critical Care overnight.

Responsibilities
  • Be part of the 1st on call rota, covering theatres and the Critical Care Unit under the support of a consultant in intensive care and a consultant general anaesthetist, both non‑resident.
  • Deliver the majority of clinical work in RHCH main theatres or Day Treatment Centre, anaesthetising for a variety of surgical specialties.
  • Develop confidence in anaesthetising major surgical cases or particular sub‑specialties under consultant supervision.
  • Support the trust’s vision of providing outstanding care for every patient across its three sites: Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester and Andover War Memorial Hospital.
