Overview

Job Title: Lamination Process Technician

Location: Corby

Salary: £38,000

I am working with my Corby-based client who is looking to add a skilled worker to their team within their print environment. The role involves setting and operating laminator machines in a factory environment to achieve high-quality output and meet production targets.

Responsibilities
  • Set and operate the laminator and achieve output targets
  • Maintain quality control and carry out technical checks
  • Verify, control and adjust machine settings as required
  • Plan the shift to maximise efficiency and productivity
  • Check that shift targets are being met
  • Label, wrap and strap pallets with clear labelling as per the specified sheet
  • Ensure all production sheets are filled out correctly and accurately
  • Monitor and conduct quality checks; take samples and complete QC paperwork
  • Achieve daily production targets set by management
  • Follow and comply with all company policies, Health & Safety, HR and factory procedures
  • Attend any provided training, individually or collectively
  • Carry out any other reasonable requests
  • Ensure production is maximised and cost effective
  • Maintain stock levels for jobs for the current and following shift
  • Be proactive in organising own workload with a self-motivated attitude
  • Train staff to maximise department knowledge, capability and productivity
  • Act as Responsible Person to oversee general standards and staff, ensuring Health & Safety and BRCGS rules are followed and reporting non-conformances
  • Act as First Aider and Fire Marshall
  • Maintain a tidy lamination area in a professional manner following the highest BRCGS standards
Qualifications / Skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the lamination process, ideally within a blown film extrusion or flexographic printing environment
  • Production experience with the ability to operate high-speed modern machinery
  • Excellent technical skills
  • Basic IT skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to set up and run the machine
  • Management skills (coaching, mentoring, firmness, etc.)
