A leading laboratory association seeks a medical laboratory technician responsible for sample collection and preparation for diagnostic testing. The role requires specific qualifications such as a college diploma and experience, with a focus on safety regulations and excellent communication skills. Candidates must comply with vaccination policies and undergo a Criminal Records Check.
Position Overview
This position is responsible for the collection, receiving, accessioning, and preparation of all samples for diagnostic testing and results reporting of clinical samples. The LT3 may also be required to identify and resolve unsuitable specimens for testing. Depending on operational requirements, they may assist with training new staff and rotate through different specified job functions.
Rotation/Shifts
Days, evenings, and nights, including weekends, 8 and 12-hour shifts. EORLA reserves the right to change shifts.
Basic Requirements
All new EORLA employees must obtain and provide a satisfactory Criminal Records Check dated within six months.
Mandatory Vaccination Policy
If successful, employment is conditional upon providing government-issued documentation of full COVID-19 vaccination with an approved vaccine in Canada. Medical or other recognized reasons for exemption can be accommodated.
