CK Group is recruiting for a Lab technician to join a leading global food brand company on a contract basis for 6 months.

Salary: Paying £13.30 per hour PAYE

Lab technician role:

• Junior Technician working in the sample prep team
  
  
• The work involves testing for allergens in food samples
  
  
• Use ELISA and PCR testing
  
  
• General day to day tasks include:
  
  • Homogenisation
  • Weighing samples
  • Washing the blenders
  • Admin and housekeeping – e.g. sample disposal and calibrating pipettes

Your Background:

• Basic experience of work in a lab environment (6 - 12 months experience)
• A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career
• Experience of working in a team and independently
• Experience of maintaining lab equipment to ensure they are always operable
• Able to record and report data and activity outcomes accurately
