Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of good laboratory practices.
  • Previous experience in a laboratory setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analytical methods to generate results for water samples.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the laboratory.
  • Communicate any delays in reporting results to customers.

Job description

Job Description

Unfortunately we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

37.5 Hours per week. Saturday - Wednesday. 7.00am - 3.00pm.

The postholder will be a committed member of a small laboratory team processing water samples.

  • Perform analytical methods within the laboratory to generate accurate and reliable results for the customers (both Microbiology & Chemistry analytical procedures)
  • Follow the procedures set out within the Quality Management System
  • Comply with EN ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation standards in accordance with procedures
  • Perform supporting tasks, including, but not limited to cleaning, calibrations, daily checks, sample reception, media preparation, supporting stores department
  • Maintain a tidy and clean workplace
  • Perform validation exercise on new analytical methods
  • Ensure any delays in reporting results are communicated to the customers
  • Raise any concerns about performance of analytical methods, to the Laboratory/ Deputy Manager
  • Participate in Proficiency Testing Schemes
  • Perform audits on analytical methods and the quality system

  • Previous experience working within a laboratory and understands the importance of good laboratory practices
