Position Overview: At Finning, we are committed to innovation and excellence in everything we do. Our team is dedicated to providing a comprehensive solution for maintaining and optimizing the performance of our customers vehicles and machinery. We are looking for an enthusiastic Laboratory Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Sample Analysis: Perform analyses on batches of oil, fuel, and coolant samples using techniques such as ICP-OES, Head Space GC FID/TCD, GC-FID, FTIR, XRF, Karl Fischer, autotitrators, discrete analyser, automated liquid handling equipment, viscosity and wet chemistry.
  • Sample Preparation: Sort and prepare samples into batches, ensuring strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Process Improvement: Investigate and implement new laboratory process improvements as directed by the Analytical Services Supervisor.
  • Data Management: Accurately enter sample data and results into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Document Management: Write and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) standards as assigned by the Supervisor.
