Job summary

A leading food testing laboratory in Bodmin is seeking multiple Lab Technicians for an immediate start, initially on a temporary basis. The role involves various chemical analyses of food samples, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and preparing samples for off-site analysis. Ideal candidates will have a degree in a scientific discipline and some work experience. The position offers 12-hour shifts and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

  • Education in a Scientific Discipline, such as a Degree in a relevant field, is highly beneficial.
  • Some prior full-time work experience (from any industry) is essential.
  • Available to start immediately and able to commute to the site near Bodmin.

Are you looking for a Lab Based role? Do you have experience of working in a fast paced, varied environment?

A successful food testing Lab is currently seeking multiple Lab Technicians to start immediately, initially on a temporary basis. The role involves working in the lab, utilising various chemical techniques to analyse food samples, and preparing samples for off-site analysis. This role is ideal if you have a scientific education/background and some experience working in a fast-paced, varied environment.

Role Overview
  • Product sampling and environmental swabbing.
  • Preparing samples and reagents for laboratory testing.
  • Performing a range of chemical analyses of food products.
  • Collaborating across departments.
  • Ensuring all work complies with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and relevant standards and regulations.
  • 12-hour shifts from 6AM-6PM or 6PM-6AM.
Requirements
  • Education in a Scientific Discipline, such as a Degree in a relevant field, is highly beneficial.
  • Some prior full-time work experience (from any industry) is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
