Job summary

A leading technology firm in Filton, UK is seeking a Lab Test Means & FTI Project Leader to oversee a critical project aimed at developing a new Control Room solution. The role requires a strong blend of project management and engineering expertise, along with excellent stakeholder management skills. Candidates must demonstrate a high level of autonomy, agility, and a positive team-player mindset. This is a 12-month contract position, with a competitive rate of up to £45.00/hr (Umbrella).

Qualifications

  • Strong background in Project/Program Management (PMI desirable).
  • Experience in transnational work environments.
  • Relevant Engineering background is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders effectively.

About the Role

Critical Flight & Integration Testing

Your Primary Mission

You will lead a high-priority, end-to-end project focused on developing a brand-new Control Room designed to monitor and operate a key Lab Test Means solution.

Key Project Responsibilities
  • Define Scope: Create the Statement of Work (SOW) and establish project structure/governance.
  • Manage Execution: Steer project delivery using metrics, track progress, and ensure timely completion.
  • Risk & Change: Proactively manage all Risks and Opportunities, and anticipate/steer necessary changes.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Report progress and manage complex relationships with internal and external customers/suppliers at all levels.
What You Need to Succeed

We are looking for an agile, autonomous leader with a strong blend of technical and managerial expertise.

  • Mandatory: Strong Project/Program Management background (PMI desirable).
  • Transnational work spaces experience.
  • Technical: Relevant Engineering background is essential.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent Stakeholder Management and interpersonal skills.
  • Attributes: High level of autonomy, agility, and a strong team-player mindset.
  • Communication: Advanced level of English.
