KS1 Teaching Assistant - Primary School in Chelmsford

Our friendly and nurturing primary school in Chelmsford is looking for a dedicated KS1 teaching assistant to join our supportive team. This rewarding role involves working closely with KS1 pupils who have complex needs, including ASD and ADHD, helping them to access learning and thrive in a structured, caring environment.

This is a full‑time position, Monday to Friday, with working hours from 8:30am to 3:30pm. As our school in Chelmsford places great value on consistency for our pupils, the successful candidate must be able to commit to five days a week. We are seeking a KS1 teaching assistant who is patient, proactive and passionate about supporting children with additional needs. The role is to start as soon as possible.

As a KS1 teaching assistant, you will work under the guidance of the class teacher and SEN team, helping to deliver personalised support, promote positive behaviour and encourage meaningful progress. Experience with ASD and ADHD is beneficial, but a caring and resilient attitude is essential.
