Overview

This KS1 Teaching Assistant role is starting immediately and will be a temporary, long-term role running until Fri 19/12/25. The School are looking for someone who is patient, nurturing and accommodating to the child's learning needs for this KS1 Teaching Assistant position. The hours of work are 08:30am-15:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Keep the child on task and ensure that the work they are doing is to a good standard.
  • You will be responsible for getting resources ready for the day and ensure the child\'s needs are met.
  • Provide a patient and nurturing learning environment for the child.
  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
  • Support children consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
  • Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
  • Deliver catch-up sessions
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people within the past two years
  • Must have a passion for education
  • Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
  • Must be reliable and punctual
