KS1 Teaching Assistant - SEN Support

Location: Clapham, Lambeth

Start Date: October 2025

Salary: £104 per day

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to thrive in the classroom? We are seeking a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive and nurturing school in the London Borough of Lambeth.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualised support for pupils with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language, and Social/Emotional needs.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement individual learning plans.
  • Support children both academically and emotionally to build confidence and independence.
  • Promote inclusion and ensure every child has equal access to learning.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents where appropriate.
The Ideal Candidate Will
  • Have previous experience supporting children with SEN (school-based experience preferred).
  • Be patient, caring, and adaptable in approach.
  • Have strong communication skills and be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Be enthusiastic about making a real difference to children's lives.
  • Hold relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA or equivalent) - desirable but not essential.
