NHS Grampian Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)

NHS Grampian CAMHS is an inclusive, values‑based multi‑disciplinary team including Clinical and Applied Psychology, Psychotherapy, Clinicians, Allied Health Professionals, Nursing, Psychiatry, Admin, Business and Support staff. Our ethos promotes patient‑centred care, efficiency and a culture that values, enables and develops our staff.

Responsibilities
  • Work with children, young people (0‑18) and their families across the Grampian region, providing 1:1, family, group and specialist interventions.
  • Deliver treatment across a range of modalities (CBT, IPT, systemic family therapy, FBT, ACT, EMDR, play therapy, pharmacotherapy and others) as appropriate to each case.
  • Contribute to early intervention, departmental research, audit and teaching/training.
  • Collaborate closely with local partner agencies and the regional Dudhope Young People’s In‑patient Unit.
  • Participate in the monthly CPD programme, supervision and peer‑group support structures.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in Psychology (minimum) and an MSc in Applied Psychology for Children and Young People, or an MSc in Psychological Therapies in Primary Care.
  • Extensive therapeutic experience working within child and adolescent services.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary professionals and partner agencies.
  • Demonstrable research or audit experience is an advantage.
