A leading UK kitchen design firm is looking for a Kitchen Surveyor/Designer to work in Birmingham under a self-employed arrangement. In this role, you will create in-situ designs for social housing clients, liaising with contractors to ensure specifications are met. Qualifications

• Experience in completing in-situ Kitchen designs within occupied properties.
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Knowledge of current regulations specifically related to Gas.

• Liaise closely with partnered Contractors on Main Improvement Programmes.
• Deliver “Right First Time” Kitchen Designs within occupied properties for Social Housing Clients.
• Manage and plan visits for property details and contact site addresses.

Overview

Kitchen Surveyor/Designer | Birmingham, Coventry & West Midlands areas | Monday to Friday; no weekends | Self-Employed Position | Starting salary from £130 per day + mileage expenses. Salary depending on experience & location

Our Client works closely with their partnered Kitchen Manufacturers & Contractors to provide in-situ Kitchen Survey & Design service in multiple locations throughout the UK. Their work mainly consists of long term projects within the Social Housing sector, working on large scale Kitchen improvement programmes for Local Authorities & Housing Associations.

Responsibilities

• Liaise closely with partnered Contractors on Main Improvement Programmes
• Deliver “Right First Time” Kitchen Designs within occupied properties for Social Housing Clients
• Manage and plan visits; contact site addresses in advance to obtain property details; maintain clear proactive communication
• Provide in-situ Kitchen Survey & Design service in Tenanted homes; then complete administration tasks
• Ensure compliance with design briefs/specifications agreed in advance with Clients for each site
• Support non-sales-focused work to provide best-in-class design service to Clients and Contractors
• Occasional overnight stays away from home may be required
• Use own car for travel; mileage allowance is payable

Qualifications

• Experience in completing in-situ Kitchen designs within occupied properties
• Experience using Fusion 2020 CAD software
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong time management and customer service skills; ability to liaise with Contractors, Clients and Tenants
• Right First Time mindset; able to follow Design Briefs/specifications for each site
• Knowledge of current regulations (specifically Gas) and good practice guidelines set by Social Housing providers
• Ability to provide safe, practical kitchen design within Tenanted homes
• Own car is essential; mileage allowance payable
