A prestigious educational institution is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join its catering team. Responsibilities include setting up tables, assisting in food service, and maintaining cleanliness in catering areas. Job description
Overview

We are looking to recruit a number of confident, enthusiastic and energetic individuals to join our superb catering team who are responsible for providing a high level of service, cleanliness and hygiene across all catering areas in the College.

You will be approachable with a friendly and professional manner, be able to take direction and guidance from senior team members and have a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities
  • Setting up tables
  • Waiting on tables
  • Assisting in the food service
  • Cleaning of all service areas
  • Supporting the Buttery and food service teams with washing, storing and stocking of plates, cutlery and food service crockery
  • Assisting with the preparation of functions and rooms and processing of deliveries
Skills and Experience

Ideally you will have previous experience of working in the food service industry such as a hotel or College, but full training will be provided.

As some of the work is based in a commercial kitchen, the minimum working age is 17.

Pay and Hours

Rates of pay are dependent on age, and range from £9.38 - £13.68. This is inclusive of holiday pay.

  • Under 18s - £9.38
  • Under 21s (up to and including age 20) - £11.21
  • 21 and overs - £13.68

Working hours are generally 6pm to 9pm, Monday to Sunday. Shifts will be offered on an ad hoc basis and agreed in advance. Work can be accepted or declined to suit your availability.
