Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant

Rotherham, S65 – £95 per day – Start date: ASAP – Contract type: Temp - perm – Working hours: Monday - Friday, (term time only) 8.15-3.30

Unique School Solutions is supporting a large and vibrant Primary School in the S65 area of Rotherham to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work within Key Stage 1 classes, supporting children with SEND needs. The role will be working within the classroom under the direction of the teacher, supporting students with the Key Stage 1 curriculum and helping to reach developmental targets.

Essential requirements for the role:

• Previous experience working within a school (mainstream or special)
• Key Stage 1 experience
• Experience supporting children with SEND, in particular Autism, ADHD and communication
• The ability to build rapport with young learners
• The ability to work under the direction of the class teacher as well as using own initiative
• The ability to support small groups and on a 1:1 basis
