About the Role

Applebough Education are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Teacher (QTS) to join their Key Stage 1 team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to inspiring young learners, fostering a love of learning, and helping every child reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that meet the needs of pupils within Key Stage 1, in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Create a positive, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that promotes pupil progress and achievement.
  • Differentiate teaching to ensure all pupils, including those with additional needs, are fully supported and challenged.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies to track progress, provide feedback, and inform next steps in learning.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including participation in staff meetings, training, and extracurricular activities.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
Person Specification

Essential:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience or training within Key Stage 1.
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Ability to plan creatively and deliver engaging, child-centred lessons.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable:

  • Experience working in diverse classroom settings.
