Job summary

A leading food manufacturing company in Harrogate is looking for a Manufacturing Key Operative to oversee inventory and warehouse functions. This role includes picking, loading, and unloading products while maintaining a good relationship between Manufacturing and Logistics. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and may have previous experience in manufacturing. Working hours are 12-hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off rotation, with limited public transport available.

Overview

As a Manufacturing Key Operative - Warehouse and FLT you’ll join our busy, fast paced manufacturing site completing inventory, software and warehouse functions to ensure all deliveries are documented. You’ll ensure products are in the right location and deliveries are distributed in full and on time to our customers.

You’ll perform operational tasks such as picking, loading and unloading different types of product, support stock movement (using a forklift truck if required), and complete related administration tasks. You’ll maintain a good working relationship between Manufacturing and Logistics. We’ll train you on a variety of tasks to ensure you’re ready to provide top quality products our customers love.

Shift: 4 on 4 off Working Pattern, 12 hours shifts working between 7 and 7

Please note that the site is in a remote location and has very limited public transport options. It can be difficult to get to if you don\'t have your own vehicle. Please consider your travel options and make sure that this is a suitable location for you.

About you

You’ll be the kind of person who:

  • May have previous manufacturing and food handling experience (however full training will be given if not)
  • Would enjoy working in a fast paced physical manufacturing environment distributing quality, food safe products for customers
  • Can use trained skills to support with moving and manage stock using a forklift truck if required
  • Feels comfortable working in a warehouse environment which can be dusty and noisy, with varied temperatures
  • Have the ability to perform a variety of physical activities such as lifting, bending, walking, pushing, pulling and stretching
