Job description
Who are we?

Estelle Manor is a rural retreat set on an 85-acre estate in Oxfordshire. The manor has four restaurants, an extraordinary 3,000 sq metre Roman-inspired spa- Eynsham Baths, 108 bedrooms and a gym with class studios and padel courts. Plus, there’s a kids’ club for the little ones and a workspace. As the countryside companion to Maison Estelle, the manor is also a ‘hosted home’, bringing people together that have plenty to say and nothing to prove.

The Role:

As a Gardener for Estelle Manor, you will hold responsibility for the daily tending to and continued development of our 85 acre estate. Working primarily in the formal gardens close to the manor you’ll be delivering great aesthetics through horticulture, and this is therefore a hugely exciting opportunity to pro-actively ensure the gardens remain beautiful for guests to enjoy throughout the year. With opportunities to showcase and develop horticultural skills across the estate’s herbaceous borders and specimen trees, you will have a clear passion for gardening alongside professional development.

Who we are looking for?
  • Experience as a gardener, with proven horticultural knowledge in herbaceous and ornamental gardens. Fruit and vegetable, flower and salad production knowledge and skills.
  • Understanding of a variety of growing techniques and propagation.
  • A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 horticultural qualification (LANTRA/RHS/City and Guilds)
  • Excellent communication skills within a luxury environment, comfortable talking to colleagues, senior management and building relationships with our members and guests.
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management and organisational skills.
  • A genuine passion for horticulture.

  • Added protection of both our pension and life assurance schemes.
  • 28 days holiday, inclusive of bank holidays, which increases with length of service.
