Junior Electronics Engineer – MedTech Sector

KO2 are partnering with a growing MedTech company in Peterborough who are looking to add a Junior Electronics Engineer to their expanding R&D team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to work on meaningful, life‑improving technology while learning from highly experienced engineers.

The Role

As a Junior Electronics Engineer, you’ll join a small, collaborative engineering team developing cutting‑edge medical devices. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across the full product development lifecycle, supporting senior engineers with design, prototyping, testing, and documentation of electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of analogue and digital electronic circuits
  • Support PCB layout, schematic capture and prototyping activities
  • Conduct testing, debugging and verification of hardware components
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation
  • Work closely with experienced engineers to deliver high‑quality, safety‑critical solutions
  • Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives

Skills & Experience Needed

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar
  • Practical knowledge of electronic fundamentals, circuit analysis and test equipment
  • Some experience with PCB design tools (e.g. Altium, KiCad, or similar) is desirable
  • Enthusiasm to learn, solve problems and work in a collaborative R&D environment
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to work on medical‑grade, high‑reliability products
