Job summary

A leading technology support provider is seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer (SRE) in Wokingham. You will work with Agile teams to automate infrastructure, ensuring platform reliability using modern cloud-native tools. This role offers £417 per day for a 2-month contract with potential for extension, requiring strong SRE principles and experience with Azure DevOps.

Role Description

Work with Agile teams to automate infrastructure, ensure platform reliability, and support continuous delivery. Use modern cloud-native tools and CI/CD platforms to maintain secure, observable, and high-performing environments.

Relevant Skills

• Experience working in Agile environments
• Strong understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD and pipeline management
• Knowledge of observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code: Helm, Kustomize
• Hands-on experience with Tekton and ArgoCD
• Ability to support and troubleshoot OpenShift Operators (ServiceMesh, ODF, ACS, ACM, AMQ)
• Understanding of security controls and compliance standards
• Strong incident resolution and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and share best practices
• Effective collaboration with vendors, IT, and development teams
• Comfortable conducting handovers and providing developer support
