Qualifications

Junior Data Analyst – Technology Scale-Up

London Hybrid 3 days a week in our Liverpool Street Office

Are you a recent graduate with a keen eye for detail and a good head for numbers?

Do you love solving tricky data puzzles and finding satisfying solutions for abstract problems?

We are looking for an ambitious, data-driven graduate. As a Junior Data Analyst you’ll be building dashboards to ensure our customers receive their data in a brilliantly accessible and engaging way. Reporting to the Senior Data Scientist, you’ll be supported in learning how to get the best out of our data insights platform, and work as an essential part of the wider Delivery Team to go above and beyond for our customers.

Shepper is a unique, ambitious and innovative tech scale-up in London. We harness our community of App users across the UK and Ireland to collect data and provide actionable insights for an enviable client list including Marks & Spencer, EE, Samsung, Uber Eats and many more.

We are a small, highly-driven and collaborative team in a dynamic scale-up environment. We are looking for someone with both excellent communication and analytical skills – we are on an exciting growth trajectory and we are looking for someone to jump-start their career with us!

What you’ll do
  • Create data dashboards on our insights platform (Sisense) to deliver results to our clients.
  • Build custom datasets from our database and other sources to power our dashboards.
  • Collaborate with other members of the business to drive data best practise.
  • Communicate with clients to understand requirements, presenting and adapting dashboards accordingly.
  • Produce post-campaign analysis reports to deliver further insights.

We are looking for
  • A Degree in a relevant field such as data science, mathematics, computer science, or any other highly numerate degree.
  • Experience writing SQL queries, or another querying language.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programmes (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A desire to learn new technical skills and be part of a data team.
Useful Additional Skills
  • Experience with Python, or any other programming language.
  • Experience with databases, particularly relational databases.
  • Experience with data visualisation / dashboarding software.
  • Previous experience in a client-facing / customer service position.
