Your new company
A leader in their field based in Stoke-on-Trent is looking for a Junior Costings Officer on a temporary ongoing basis.

Your new role

Your new role will be a fast-paced role and will include but not be limited to:

  • Assist in producing product cost and financial information, in line with Cost and Management Accounting principles.
  • Help prepare and reconcile stock valuation information in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Provide support to senior colleagues with cost and margin analysis.
  • Assist in maintaining the database of sourced product purchases.
  • Contribute to the weekly analysis of stock and production data.
  • Support the Finance team in analysing Perpetual Inventory information and follow up on any actions.
  • Assist with the preparation of journals and reports used in monthly management accounts.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and administrative support to the Finance team as required.
Key Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong diligence and accuracy.
What you'll need to succeed

As a Junior Costing Officer, you will provide support to the Costing Officer and Finance Business Partner - Operations in ensuring the accurate and timely provision of cost information. You will be highly adaptable and be able to self-motivate in a hybrid working environment. You will have a keen eye for detail and a positive, 'can-do' attitude to working.
