Job Description

The Job Mission
This role supports the development of commissioning processes for a major nuclear power project.
You'll create and optimise end-to-end procedures for contractor commissioning activities.
You'll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align process and compliance.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Help create and update process documents used across the commissioning phase
  • Support development of clear procedures and instructions for project stakeholders
  • Work with engineering and delivery teams to gather accurate process information
  • Use tools like Visio and Excel to map out workflows and dependencies
  • Ensure processes follow safety and regulatory expectations
  • Assist with reviews and improvements to existing commissioning procedures
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and identify improvements
  • Support integration of processes across engineering, construction, and commissioning
Qualifications

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • HNC, apprenticeship, or degree in engineering or a related STEM subject
  • Basic understanding of PFDs and P&IDs
  • Comfortable using tools like MS Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
  • Able to follow and document technical procedures clearly
  • Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
  • Analytical mindset with a willingness to learn and improve processes
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with different teams
  • Eligible for UK security clearance
Desired Skills
  • Some experience in nuclear, commissioning, or other regulated sectors
  • Awareness of health and safety regulations or quality processes
  • Familiarity with document management or procedural frameworks
  • Basic understanding of risk assessment or project lifecycle stages
  • Interest in continuous improvement and process efficiency
