The main clinical responsibilities include managing inpatients and the team caseload, attending ward rounds and meetings, conducting risk assessments and care planning, monitoring patients physical health, liaising with various professionals and external agencies, attending external meetings, making safeguarding referrals, and maintaining clear records in the Trusts electronic system. The role also involves 8 sessions per week dedicated to direct clinical care and 2 sessions for supporting professional activities such as audit, research, and quality improvement. General responsibilities include participating in service evaluation, clinical governance, academic activities, teaching, and reflective practice. The post holder will receive supervision, annual appraisal, and support for continuing professional development, with access to study leave and mandatory training requirements.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
