Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience of Out of Hours/ Hospital at Night.
  • Experience of working in the NHS or equivalent healthcare system.
  • Experience in audit and/or quality improvement.
  • Experience of teaching undergraduates/postgraduates.
  • Prior experience of Intensive Care Medicine.
  • Experience in Clinical Research.

Junior Clinical Fellow in Intensive Care Medicine

An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Junior Clinical Fellow to join our team of Consultants and Specialty doctors responsible for the provision of Critical Care at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. The post holder will be based at Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Llantrisant but may also be required to work across other acute hospitals should the need arise.

This is a fixed term contract of up to 12 months due to funding.

Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

As part of the medical team you will take part in looking after critically ill patients under supervision. Your role will include the review of patients in the Emergency Department, wards and theatre.

There will be time and opportunity to participate in some of the many quality improvement, research and teaching projects. Support for exams and training can be provided.

The successful candidate will form part of the 1:8 out of hours ITU resident rota under the supervision of a resident SAS doctor and non resident consultant.
