Title: Junior Category Manager (Procurement)

Location: Scunthorpe / Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days from home)

Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 (DOE) + an additional benefits package

This role sits within the Procurement function, which is central to driving cost efficiency, supplier performance, and end-to-end category management. They are looking for an up-and-coming procurement professional that wants to join a close-knit team looking to drive the function forward and improve the already strong foundations. You\'ll be part of a team focused on strategic sourcing, supplier management, and stakeholder collaboration, reporting to and working closely with other procurement professionals in the team.

Role & Responsibilities

• Support and execute category-specific sourcing strategies
• Manage low value tenders and supplier proposals (e.g., RFI, RFP, e-sourcing)
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders
• Monitor vendor performance and manage supplier relationships
• Ensure full compliance with internal procedures

Experience & Requirements

• Proven experience from any industry across a range of direct and indirect categories
• Familiarity with strategic sourcing and tendering processes
• Confident communicator with strong supplier and stakeholder management experience
• CIPS or working towards (beneficial but not essential)
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing detailed information
