Overview

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Joiner to support fit-out and finishing on our aparthotel project in Barrow-in-Furness. You will deliver first and second fix joinery to a high standard, working to drawings, programme and site H&S requirements.

Responsibilities
  • First fix carpentry, including studwork, joists, noggins and window boards
  • Second fix including doors, frames, ironmongery, skirting, architraves and boxings
  • Kitchen and kitchenette install, worktops, end panels and scribing
  • Flooring trims, thresholds and finishing details to guest-ready standard
  • Fire stopping details and compliant fire door installation with sign off
  • Reviewing drawings, taking site measurements and raising RFIs where needed
  • Working with the Site Manager to hit daily and weekly targets
  • Snagging, defect rectification and quality assurance checks
  • Safe use of power tools, housekeeping and protection of finished areas
Essential requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry and Joinery, or equivalent proven experience
  • Strong first and second fix skills on live refurb or hotel/aparthotel schemes
  • Own tools and transport, full PPE, valid CSCS card
  • Able to read drawings, set out accurately and work to tight deadlines
  • Right to work in the UK and two recent references
Hours and pay

Typical site hours 08:00 to 16:30, occasional Saturdays by agreement

Competitive hourly rate, paid weekly, CIS

Overtime available subject to programme
