Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Job Coach to join our team in Exeter and East Devon.

Responsibilities
  • Engage and motivate young people through community-based delivery, encouraging participation and progression towards positive outcomes
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and be able to travel across Devon
  • Work closely with employers to provide in‑work support and ensure sustainable employment outcomes for young people aged 16‑24
  • Support young people, particularly those with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), complex needs, those at risk of social exclusion and those from marginalised communities
  • Plan and deliver a person‑centred, accredited programme tailored to individual needs and aspirations

  • Supported work tasters, work experience, internships and job trials
Job Coach Requirements
  • Experience working with young people in an educational or support setting, including those with special educational needs and social, emotional or behavioural challenges
  • An understanding of the supported employment process
  • Basic knowledge of social enterprises
  • Strong IT, organisational and self‑management skills
  • A flexible, proactive approach and the ability to market individuals or services to employers

We provide both formal and on‑the‑job training, with access to national specialists who offer expert guidance on best practice, inclusion, quality and health and safety. You will receive a full induction and ongoing support from experienced colleagues.
