Description

Our client, a leading bank, is looking to hire a Java Developer on a 12 month contract. This hire will support a Trade and Transaction Reporting team to maintain and enhance a suite of java based services to facilitate trade reporting in a timely manner to their Regulators. The service is primarily built to enable the reporting of the areas trade information to external regulatory bodies. Jurisdiction scope (ESMA, FCA, MAS, ASIC, JFSA, etc) will change over time depending on business priorities such as the implementation of a new mandatory regulatory specification.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of engineers and collaborate with colleagues globally
• Responsible for the software development lifecycle of the changes you implement
• Remediation – working to tight deadlines to turn around small incremental fixes quickly and safely
• Maintain code base (defects, vulnerabilities, enhancements, etc)
• Assist Operations with remediation efforts through tooling and building upon existing capabilities
• Liaise with Asset Class IT teams to improve the quality of the input data and protect the T&TR solution from absorbing workarounds / complexity
• Working within a POD with a defined charter

• 5+ years experience in java development
• Degree in Computer Science or related discipline

This will be a 12 month contract.

Hybrid working is 2 days a week onsite.
