Job summary

A technology company in Maidstone is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to support and maintain on-prem infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Windows Server Administration and networking, providing user support and managing IT inventory. Knowledge of Cisco Switches and some Linux experience is preferred. This is a full-time onsite position.

Qualifications

Overview

Infrastructure Engineer Full Time Onsite

We are looking for someone with experience of Windows Server and Network Administration, covering DNS, DHCP, AD Admin, HP and Cisco Switch configuration and support as well as VMware to join an onsite team who are tasked with the continued support, troubleshooting and maintenance of their on-prem infrastructure, providing user support and liaising with third party suppliers and some low level Linux Administration. As part of the team you will be expected to perform backups, provide support to users, manage the IT inventory to ensure any necessary equipment is available as well as any other tasks that fall within the team remit.

  • Contribute to low level Linux administration as required
Required Skills and Experience
  • Microsoft: Strong Windows Server Administration, including installation and configuration, user group management, storage management, networking settings, configuring TCP/IP, and managing DNS and DHCP
  • Networking: Knowledge of configuring and set-up of switches, routers and other network equipment, monitoring, maintenance and support, ideally in a Cisco environment
  • Linux Administration: Ideally some level of administration across Linux environments (setup/configuration, user groups, low level scripting); not essential
