Overview

IT Support Technician / Network Manager (school-based) – Cheadle, Stockport, Cheshire. Location: Cheadle, Stockport. Permanent, full-time (37 hours/week, all year). Salary: NJC SO2 Scale 26-31 (£37,280 - £41,771). Start Date: Immediate.

This role is based in a mainstream secondary school in Cheadle. You will maintain and improve the school's IT infrastructure, support staff and students, and ensure reliable, secure systems.

Responsibilities
  • Provide first-line technical support and troubleshooting for staff and students.
  • Maintain and administer network, servers, software, hardware, and digital resources.
  • Plan, install, and upgrade IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Monitor performance, security, backups, and disaster recovery.
  • Liaise with external suppliers, manage contracts, and maintain documentation.
Person Specification
  • Proven experience in IT support and network management (ideally in an educational environment).
