Job summary

A small IT Consultancy based in Maidstone is seeking a 2nd Line Support Engineer to provide technical assistance and support to its clients. This office-based position requires excellent communication and customer service skills, along with technical proficiency in PC/Laptop builds, software configuration, and familiarity with Microsoft products. Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • High level of customer service skills necessary.
  • Experience in hardware PC and laptop builds needed.
  • Knowledge of software configuration, design, and installs.
  • Familiarity with Exchange and Microsoft 365 Active Directory is a must.
  • Experience with Intune configuration and management is required.
  • Understanding of Azure environments is preferred.
  • Virtualization technologies knowledge (Hyper-V) is necessary.
  • Networking knowledge (switches, routers, VLANs) is essential.
  • Strong documentation skills are required.
  • SharePoint knowledge is preferable.
  • Scripting knowledge (PowerShell) is a bonus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware effectively is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to clients as required.
  • Manage and troubleshoot IT systems and networks.
  • Install and configure hardware and software.
  • Document all support interactions for future reference.

About the Role

Our client is a small IT Consultancy who are looking to hire a 2nd Line Support Engineer on a permanent basis.

This is working for an IT Consultancy the company is based in Maidstone and the role is office based with the occasional client visit who are all local but you would need to have access to a car and a Full UK licence.
