IT Support Technician
£30,000 + Excellent Benefits (inc. training, 26-31 days holiday (+BH), local government pension) – Coulsdon / Croydon, CR5; some local travel required, own car preferred

We're working with a forward-thinking, education-focused organisation whose mission is to provide exceptional education at the heart of the community. Due to continued growth, they’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic IT Support Technician to join their friendly and supportive team.

You will already have some experience of providing IT support in a user-facing environment, ideally within the education sector, and you will be looking to progress your career within a large organisation with 50+ sites across the UK.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the smooth running of IT systems to help teaching and learning, run efficiently
  • Providing technical support both in classrooms and deskside across a number of local sites
  • Helping staff and students with their use of IT and AV equipment
  • Setting up and maintaining PCs, Macs, and other devices
  • Installing and updating software, managing access rights, and keeping systems secure
  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware/software issues
  • Collaborating with the wider IT service desk team to share knowledge and offer training
What we’re looking for
  • Some hands-on experience in IT Support, in a user-facing environment, ideally within the education sector.
  • Strong communication skills and a helpful, solutions-focused attitude
  • Interest or experience in audio-visual (AV) equipment is a bonus
  • Any Microsoft or IT certifications (e.g. MCDST, MCP) are a bonus
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own car is preferred due to some local travel required
