A leading Newcastle IT firm is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead their helpdesk team. You will balance leadership duties with hands-on desktop support, leveraging expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365. This position involves managing IT processes and workflows, mentoring team members, and ensuring high performance through defined SLAs. IT Manager with experience in leading an IT helpdesk / IT support team and still being hands‑on technical, providing IT desktop support is required by a leading Newcastle city‑centre‑based company.
You must have experience in managing an IT support environment or have been a senior IT service desk analyst, looking to move into a manager role. You should also have experience in managing IT processes, IT assets, and IT workflows and experience working in an IT technical environment. This role will be 50% leadership, 50% hands‑on, so you need excellent knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Online, Intune & Microsoft 365.
