Irrigation Specialist / Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Irrigation Specialist / Manager to take responsibility for the planning, operation, and maintenance of irrigation systems across a mixed farming business. The role will ensure efficient water use, healthy crop growth, and compliance with environmental standards.

Responsibilities
  • Manage irrigation systems for soft fruit, vegetables, and cereals.
  • Plan irrigation schedules using soil moisture data, crop needs, and weather forecasts.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair pumps, filters, and irrigation equipment.
  • Monitor water usage and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Work closely with the farm team to support crop production.
  • Train and supervise staff in irrigation practices.
Skills & Experience
